ORT Ships Tools To French Jews NEW YORK — The American ORT Federation has shipped more than 200 sewing and knitting ma- chines and several tons of tools to France for distribution among needy artisans. The lack of machines and tools has been one of the greatest hardships of Fernch artisans, since the Germans looted all workshops. In order to provide the maxi- mum number of artisans with tools and machines, some portion of each shipment will be used to outfit cooperatives and central workshops.
