The Men's Club of Temple Is-
rael has set aside Tuesday eve-
ning, April 10, for the annual
get-together known as "An Eve-
ning with the Rabbi."
The affair is to be held at the
Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg. on Law-
ton Ave. near Davison.
Rabbi Leon Frans will lead in
a Round Table discussion on
"The Customs and Traditions of
the Jewish Faith."
There will also be a Question
and Answer period. Refresh-
ments will be served.

Barnett, Harry Pliskow and Dr.
J. M. Goldsmith.

Mrs. B. Blatnikoff, chairman of
the nominating committee, pre-
sented the slate, and Mrs. A. B.
Stralser, the organization's par-
livaentarian, installed the newly
elected officers.
The officers are as follows:
Mrs. George Koven, president;
Mesdames S. Weller, M. Benach,
S. Levison, A. Potiker, S.
Schwartz and H. Bergman, vice
presidents; Mrs. S. Zeldes, re-
cording secretary; Mrs. K. Fau-
dem will continue as financial
secretary with Mrs. J. Fishman
as treasurer; Mrs. M. Rosen, spe-
cial corresponding secretary; Mrs.
B. Arkin, Mrs. M. Gerger, Mrs.
H. Kaufman, Mrs. J. Torgow and
Mrs. S. Rosenfeld, corresponding
secretaries; Mrs. M. Lippitt, sim-
cha and memorial secretary, and
Mrs. T. Lebovitz, treasurer of
building fund.
Mrs. Koven has served the or-
ganization as publicity chairman,
special corresponding secretary
and recording secretary. She has
also headed the war bond drive.
Mrs. N. J. Lippitt, the retiring
president, called for reports from
all her officers and chairman.
She read her own annual report
in which she thanked all her
workers for their loyal support.
At the next regular meeting
Mrs. Koven will name her com-
mittee chairmen for the coming
year.

On Sunday evening, April 15,
at the Detroit Institute of Art,
the Workmen's Circle Chorus,
will give its 12th annual concert
and will then present two fam-
ous artists as their soloists,
Masha Benya, soprano, and Phil-
lip Blackman, operatic baritone.
Each artist will offer a group
of songs and will join the choru s

new Yiddish oratorio, "Hirsh Le-
kert" by Weiner, which will be

"Who Is Guilty?",
Exciting Yiddish
Play, to Appear Here

"Who Is Guilty?", a sensa-
tional drama in Yiddish, will be
presented for only one perform-
ance in Detroit on Sunday eve-
ning, April 22, at the Scottish '
Rite Auditorium of the Masonic
Temple. Paul Burstein and Lil-
lian Lux are the stars in this
radio drama, which has played
a full season in New York.
The New York cast which will
come here, includes the Detroit
favorites, Henrietta Jacobson,
Max Rosenblatt and Julius Ad-
ler. Paul Burstein is the direct-

the lyrics, while Miss Jacobson
is staging the dances. A. Altman
is bringing the production to De-
