Mr. and Mrs. H. Friedgood of LaSalle Blvd. announce the
marriage of their daughter, Shirley Elaine, to Dr. Alvin B. Lezell,
son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Lezell of Dexter Blvd.
The couple were married Sunday, March 12, at the Belcrest.
It was a double ring ceremony, with Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka
officiating.
The bride's maid-of-honor was Miss Gerry Goodman of Pontiac,
Mich. The bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Gessler, Miss Lorraine
Sacks and Miss Alice Reizen.
The best man was Pfc. Alex Weinberg. The ushers were the
bride's brother, Charles, and the groom's brothers, Sam, and Hy
Lezell. The flower girl was Miss Annette Lezell, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Lezell.
A reception was held at the Belcrest following the ceremony,
and in the evening a dinner was given for the immediate family.
The couple spent a week in Chicago.
Dr. and Mrs. Lezell are making their home in Detroit at the
present time. Dr. Lezell is in the United States Naval Reserve and
is awaiting further orders.

Campaign Opens May 15
Detroit's technological and industrial
achievements have probably done
more to shape modern civilization
than the achievements of any other
city in the world. Moreover, our
citizens now have the resources.
imagination, creative genius .and ex-
perience to enable them to under-
take more and greater industrial
projects than ever before in the years
that lie ahead.
History is in the making in Detroit
NOW—living history that deserves
to be displayed proudly and ade-
quately in a great museum in which
our children and our children's chil-
dren may learn and be inspired.
Therefore, we need a museum
worthy not only of Detroit's past
great contributions to the world's
progress but a museum adequate to
preserve the record of today's and
tomorrow's achievements.
