Attitude of S tate Department on Palestine
Resolution Is Expected to Be Friendly
American Jewish Committee Advocates That Resolution Be
Amended to Provide for International Trusteeship
WASHINGTON (WNS).—The conflicting points of view presented last week
at the open hearings of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the Palestine
resolution were reported here to have prompted several members of the Committee
to sound out the State Department on its attitude towards the resolution. Although
there was no official indication of the attitude of the State Department with regard
to the Palestine resolution, it was believed by reliable circles here that it would not
be unfriendly.
