The election for delegates to
the American Jewish Conference
was held at Brown Memorial
Chapel of Temple Beth El on
Tuesday, June 15.
Abraham Srere, president of
the Jewish Welfare Federation
and the, convenor of the Confer-
ence, presided.
Mr. Srere explained the pro-
cedure of the election of the as-
sembled delegates, and Benjamin
Laikin explained the procedure in
Yiddish.
One hundred forty-seven organ-
izations chose 564 delegates and
there were 54 names on the bal-
lot. Practically 100 per cent of
the accredited delegates attendM
