son of Mr. William Levine, of
Windsor.
The bride was lovely in a gown
of white satin, fashioned with
sweetheart neckline, the very full
skirt ending in a long train. Her
fingertip veil was held by a tiara
of seed pearls and her flowers
were white roses and orchids.
Marlene Glass was maid of hon-
or, the flower girl was Doris Blu-
stein, ring-bearer, Melvin Rose.
Norman Sable was best man, and
the ushers included Seymour
Brodsky, Saul Penskar, Jack Fein,
Larry Guttenberg, and Frank
Golden.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bonin of
the Belcrest Apts. announce the
marriage of their daughter, Mar-
ion Bonin, to Corp. Bernard Ser-
wer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Serwer of 1635 W. Boston
Blvd. The ceremony took place
Dec. 30, 1942, in Newport, R. I.,
in the Touro Synagogue.
Mrs. Serwer is at student at
the University of Michigan, and
Corp. Selmer is stationed at Fort
Shelby, Jamestown, R. I.

Mrs. Rachael Finkelstein of
Greeley Ave. announces the mar-
riage of her son, Samuel, to
Edith Lechtner, (laughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Meyer Lechtner of Erie,
Pa., on Saturday, Jan. 16, at
Fort Wayne, Ind. The marriage
was performed by Rabbi Irvin A.
Weingart of Fort Wayne.
Having returned from a honey-
moon trip through the West, the
couple are now at home at their

Samuel D. Rosen To
Address Sisterhood of
Beth El on "Russia"
"The Russia of Today" will 1w
the topic of a lecture by Samuel
D. Rosen, noted authority on Rus-
sia, at the monthly Sisterhood
Meet;ng of Temple Beth El. on
Monday, March 8, at 2 o'clock,
in the Brown Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Rosen was born in a peas-
ant village on the banks of the
Dnieper River in south of Rus-
sia, and received his early educa-
tion at the University of Odessa,
Since returning to the Soviet
Union in 1930 he has traveled
► ' thousands of miles to observe
the people and the institutions of
that great country. His experience
make him preeminently qualified
to speak on this timely and im-
portant subject with great clarity
and insight.
The meeting will be preceded
by a dessert luncheon at 1:30 in
the Social Hall and is open to the
members of the Sisterhood and to
prospective members.

Federation Meeting

constituent agenvies will hold the
annUal meeting on Monday eve-
ning, March 8, in the auditorium
of the Jewish Community Center,
Woodward at Holbrook.
Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, Euro-
pean chairman of the Joint Dis-
tribution Committee, who is mak-
ing his first visit to America in
nineteen months, will deliver the
address of the evening and will
review the current situation
abroad.
The business meeting will be-
gin promptly at 7:30 p. m. and
the special program is scheduled
for 8:30 o'clock. You are cordially
invited to attend. Please arrange
to be present for both the business
meeting and the program that
will follow.

lovely in a gown of white em-
broidered marquisette with sweet-
heart neckline, the full skirt end-
ing in a long train. Ilex finger
tip veil was held by a crown of
seed pearls and she carried a
large bouquet of roses.
The maid of honor was Miss
Margie Friedlis, and the brides-
maids included Blanche Davis,
Selma Sherman, Sylvia Cottler
and Rose Travis.
Morris Suffrin acted as best
man with the following as ushers:
Hyman Bialick, Albert Lookman,
Harry Rosenberg. Jean Brindze
was flower girl and Alan Roy
Levine was ring bearer.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Copp chose a lovely -gown
of aqua crepe, and Mrs. Travis'
gown was brown chiffon and lace.

On Sunday, Feb. 14, Miss
Claire Schwartz, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Kaufman, of
2205 W. Euclid Ave., became the
bride of Daniel Finn, son of Mrs.
Ida Finn of 1148 Lee Place. The
bride wore a lovely gown of ivory
net fashioned on princess lines
with a full skirt ending in a
long train. Her finger tip veil
was held by orange blossoms and
she carried a bible and orchids.
Mrs. Sylvia Green was matron
of honor; Carole Finn, maid of
honor, and the bridesmaids were
Frances Jaffe, Esther Zaron, Ev-
elyn Keywell and Susan Soulan.
The best man was John
Schwartz and George Green was
the usher.

United in marriage on Feb. 11
were Diana Gold, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Gold, 2470 Glen-
dale Ave., and George Bogorad,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bogo-
rad. The ceremony took place on
Sunday evening, Feb. 11, at the
B'nai Moshe Synagogue, with
Rabbi Fisher officiating.
The bride wore a lovely gown
of white brocade satin with lace
trimming, her finger tip veil be-
ing held by a tiara of orange
blossoms. She carried a pearl
bible and orchids. A reception fol-
lowed the ceremony.
Mrs. Rose Gold attended the
bride as matron of honor with
Miss Sarah Kaplan as maid of
honor. The bridesmaids were Irene
Houtz, Peggy Greenfield, Stella
Bogorad—junior bridesmaid was
Rosalie Nagel, and the flower
girls, nieces of the groom, were
Annette and Ethel Bogorad. The
best man was Jack Bogorad, and
the ushers included Daniel Feld-
man, Milton Gold, Irving Gold,

held its regular meeting at the

made to furnish a room at Sel-
