The opening Hadassah meeting
wil be held at the Jewish Com-
munity Centre, Tuesday, Sept. 15,
at 1:30 o'clock dessert-luncheon.
The honor roll workers are asked
to come at 12:30 to report.
The Honor Roll campaign was
formally opened with a tea held
at the home of Mrs. Fred Gins-
burg, Sept. 2. Mrs. Gould an-
nounces that due to the energetic
work of the pre-solicitation com-
mittee, well over half the total
of last year's subscribers have
already paid or pledged to this
year's campaign.
A series of teas under the sup-
ervision of Mrs. Philip Lipson
were held Sept. 9, which served
a two-fold purpose. First to save
gas, tires and energy, by holding
the meetings in convenient neigh-
borhood homes and secondly to
better acquaint new members with
the work of Hadassah. The fol-
lowing is a list of hostesses and
their guest speakers:

man; William Eisenberg, M. Ad-
ler; Ralph Weisman, Adolph Er-
lich; and Julius Zeman, M. R.

High Holy Day Services
At Beth Tefilo Emanuel
Services for the High Holy
days will be observed at Con-
gregation Beth Tefilo Emanuel,
Woodrow Wilson and Taylor
Ayes., starting Friday night,
Sept. 11, at 7:15 o'clock. The
choir, under the leadership of
Cantor Hyman Schulsinge• will
participate. Services Saturday
morning, will start at 7 o'clock,
reading of the Torah will start
at 9:15, and 10, Rabbi Max J.
Wohlgelernter will give his ser-
mon. At 10:30 the Musaf service
will be chanted by Cantor Schul-
singer and the choir. Maariv serv-
ice will be held Saturday eve-
ning at 8.
On Sunday morning, services
will start at 7, reading of the
Torah at 9:15, and Rabbi Wohl-
gelernter's sermon at 10, and at
10:30 there will be sounding of
the Shofar (Tekiah). At 10:45
Cantor Schulsinger and the choir
will chant the Musaf service. On
Yom Kippur, Rabbi Joseph Eisen-
man will speak, before the Yiskor
service
