Europe cannot be classified into superior

same potentials, and capacities ; techno-
logically, industrially, educationally, and
every attempt to impose a status of in-
feriority by the conquerors has resulted
in conspirative hostility that only awaited
the opportunity to revolt and throw off
the yoke of the conqueror. The Balkans,
Poland, Alsace Lorraine are eloquent ex-
amples of this fact.
The Nazi supermen however would
learn nothing from history, modern
trends or the findings of science. They
ruled out everything. They would prove
everybody wrong; for never before had so
much destructive armament; so many
soldiers; and such a state police force

and if Europe would accept their new
order peacefully good and well, if not
they would bomb and terrorize them into

INCREDIBLE ANTI-SEMITISM
Dr. Ignacy Schwartzbard, a member
of the Polish government in exile, de-
manded that the government formulate
and announce its post war reconstruction
plan, and particularly its attitude on the
question of freedom and equality for
Polish Jewry. This demand may seem
to some as unnecessary and inopportune,
but if the opinions and plans of the anti-
Semitic Endeks materialize the lot of
Polish Jewry after the war will not be
enviable.
In the debate that followed the ad-
dress of Dr. Schwartzbard before the
National Council it was made clear by
Zofia Zaleska, a leader of the Endeks,
that the Jews of Poland would not enjoy
the same freedom and equality as the
Poles.
It seems incredible that a representa-
tive of Poland should voice such senti-
ments at this time, but the deep-rooted
anti-Semitism of some of the reaction-
aries, Polish and otherwise, seems more
incredible.
Zaleski does not represent the major-
ity of the Polish government in exile, but
it would be short-sighted to ignore such
manifestations. From past experience we
have learned that anti-Semites of this
type are persistent, vociferous and in-
defatiguable.
The Polish government in exile should

on Jewish equality and freedom if it
expects the Support of the United Nations.
