Fifty members of the Men's
Health Club at the Jewish Com-
munity Center are participating
in a Squash Tournament which
began March 18 and will con-
tinue for three weeks in the Cen-
ter Squash Courts, at Woodward
and Holbrook.
The players are classified ac-
cording to ability ; 16 in Class
A, 14 in Class B, and 20 in
Clas: C. This is the first sea-
son that tournaments have been
planned for players below the
Class A rating, thus giving the
beginners an opportunity to im-
prove their game.
Nathan Margolis, winner of
last year's tournament, and Har-
ry Rott, runner-up, are the
seeded players in Class A. Time
for matches may be arranged by
appointment.

The Yiddish Theater
Gilbert and Sullivan

Jacob Kalich and Joseph Rum-
shinsky, considered the Gilbert
and Sullivan of the Yiddish The-
atrical world, have written more
than 40 plays together. All of
the plays were originally written
for the great American-born
Yiddish star Molly Picon. Their
latest creation, "What a Life,"
has been acclaimed by the
critics as a master work, and
Molly Picon is the greatest come-
dienne of the Yiddish theater
and is as inspirational for the
author and composer as she is
an elation for the theatergoer.
This play is brought to De-
troit by the well known im-
pressario Edwin A. Relkin,
through the cooperation of Na-
than Schreiber, and will be
shown for two performances at 0-
the Wilson Theater, Sunday
matinee and evening, April 19.
