Mme. Kozenn has chosen an
unusual group of songs for her
contribution to the "Internation-
al Program" to be presented
Tuesday evening. Included will
be a "Ballade" by Kaloneires,
the outstanding living Greek
composer, whose work will have
its first Detroit performance on
this occasion ; an aria from Biz-
et's "Carmen ;" "Songs My
Mother Taught Me," by Dvorak ;
and two Rumanian Folk Songs,
arranged for orchestra by Julius
Chajes, Center music director.
All the compositions will be sung
as written, in their original lan-
guages.
The Spring Series of five con-
certs by the Michigan WPA
Symphony Orchestra, held at the
Center on successive Tuesday

On March 16 the campaign
officers, captains, and chairmen
of the Junior Division held an

which questions were answered
regarding the 1942 Allied Jew-

carried on by the local, national
and overseas agencies which are
served by the coordinated cam-
paign. The review of agency
services began with the Jewish
Home for the Aged, where the
Jewish old and chronic sick are
kept with special care, and in-
eluded the programs of the
House of Shelter and Jewish
educational institutions as ex-
amples of agencies which re-
ceived their support from the
Allied Jewish Campaign. Some
of these institutions are part of
traditional Jewish life and trace
back to biblical times and are
the special province of the Jew-
