Zeta Alpha Rhoe

The Zeta Alpha Rhoe honored
three of its members, Messrs.
Morris Bloomberg, David Bren-
ner and Lois Silberfarb at a
dinner at Deutsch's Restaurant
on March 25 at 7 :30. These
men had successfully attained
their C.P.A. Certificate.
This also served as a fare-
well party for Berman Lipson
who has enlisted in the United
States Navy.
At this occasion the organiza-
tion is proud to mention that

three other members who are
in the army have advanced in
t ank. Sam Geller, Private to
Corporal ; Louis Disner, Private
to Corporal ; and Rubin Jaffee,
Private to Corporal.

Rabbi Fram Urges Passover Observance;
To Talk on "Birthday of Freedom"

In a special statement to mem-
bers of Temple Israel, Rabbi
Leon Fram has urged that mem-
bers of the Congregation keep
their • children out of public
school on Passover day and
bring them to the Passover
morning services. Temple Israel
will hold its Passover morning
services Thursday morning,
April 2, in the Lecture Hall of
the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The Rabbi will preach on the
subject "Passover : The Birth-
day of Freedom." The children
will contribute to the service
with the singing of Passover
Ilyinns.
The Passover Sabbath Eve
Services of Temple Israel will
1w held Friday night, April 3,
in the Lecture Hall of the De-
troit Institute of Arts. A spe-
cial feature of this service will
be the singing of Passover An-

School Choir, conducted by Can-
tor Robert S. Tulman. At this
service the members and friends
of Temple Israel are invited to
bring their children of the ages
of nine and over. This will be
the third Family Festival Serv-
ice observed by Temple Israel.

USO Committee of Temple Israel

Seder hospitality to soldiers and
sailors of the Jewish faith who
