Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shiffman

the Bar Mitzvah of their son,
Milton Maxwell, on Saturday,
Feb. 7, at Congregation Bnai
Zion, Humphrey at Holmur. Mr.
Shiffman stated that in honor of
the occasion, instead of the
usual dinner for friends and
relatives, he will present his son
with a $500 defense bond and
will contribute to various chari-
ties, including the American Red
Cross and the March of Dimes.
A reception will be held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Shiffman
at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon,
Feb. 8. Friends and relatives are

Sunday, Feb. 8, the pledges
and their dates of Alpha Gamma
Tau Sorority, Delta Chapter,
will be entertained by the mem-
bers at an early morning skat-
ing and tobogganing party at
Muir Park, followed by a
"brunch" at Hilda Weinman's.
Supper and dancing at Geraldine
Hamburg's in the evening will
follow an afternoon theater
party. Committees in charge of
arrangements are: Entertainment
and food, Norma Shapiro, chair-
man, Claire Rita Goldin and
Hilda Weinman; publicity, Ber-
nice Fenster. All are under the
direction of Eileen Kaplan, chan-
cellor. Pledges to be entertained
are Frances Snyder, Belle Car-
men and Shirley Pearlman.
