By MRS. S. K. SLOBIN

Oh father, dear pal ent, please
pray for us there,
When you were our Baal Tefilo
here, God answered your prayer

Oh, brother, dear brother,
for us your life was spent,
Ask God to ease our Unsane Tokef
by whose decree you went.

Oh, sister, angel sister, your
suffering here was great,
Now with Olem Tabo there,
plead for us at Heavens Gate.

Oh, husband, my husband,
like Korus-years, here, was
your stay,
Perhaps God wants• you there
to pave for us a better way.

incidence of tuberculosis in Pal-
estine brought about by war,
inadequate hospitalization and
the deterioration of economic
conditions • there, Hadassah, the
Women's Zionist Organization of
America informed its members
in an annual Rosh Hashonah
message that it had set aside
$35,000 toward the creation of
a special fund which will be
used to build a tuberculosis wing
in the Rothschild-IIadassah-Uni-
versify Hospital on Mt. Scopus,
Jerusalem, in the near future.
The move is part of Hadas-
sah's broader war emergency pro-
gram which provides for an in-
crease in hospital care, preven.
tive and curative medical work,
child welfare and public health
activity in the Holy Land. The
organization is now helping to
train doctors and nurses for war
duty and volunteers for first aid.
It is also providing school lunch-
eons for 25,000 children through
its emergency feeding program
and hygiene supervision for 75,-
000 boys and girls who consti-
tute the majority of Palestine's
Jewish school population.
