The new president of the Zionist Organization of America,
Miss Caroline Miriam Rosen-
thal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judge Louis E. Leirinthal of Philadelphia, paid a surprise visit to
Benjamin Rosenthal of 8920 La- Detroit last week-end.
He attended services at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, was
given the Aliyah Achron, was officially welcomed by Dr. A. M.
Hershman and Rabbi Morris Adler and delivered a brief address
before the conclusion of the services. The audience sang the Hatik-
vah in his honor.
Rabbi Hershman pledged the new president his wholehearted
cooperation.
Will Follow Weizmann, Says Levinthal
CINCINNATI (JPS)—Answering a question that had been asked
by many Zionists as to the future relation between the Zionist
Organization of America and the World Zionist Organization, ju`gv
Louis Levinthal, the new Z.O.A. President, hastened to give assur-
ances that "I will follow the leadership of Dr. Chaim Weizmann,"
World Zionist President. The Philadelphia jurist made this declara-
tion soon after his election to the Zionist leadership.

ing classes will meet Erev Rosh
Hashonah, Sept. 21, between 9
a. m. and 12 noon. At 9 o'clock
the Minyan of post-Bar Mitzvah
boys will conduct its second week-
day worship followed by break-
fast.
An assembly for boys and girls
of all grades will take place at
10 o'clock, at which time registra-
tion of new students for the reli-
gious classes will be accepted.
Parents are urged to confer with
Rabbi Wohlgelernter on the Heb-
rew educational program of chil-
dren between the ages of 6 and
16.

Of interest to motorists is the
announcement that David G.
Kurzman, the genial gas station
proprietor at 12430 Twelfth St.,
has joined the family of the Fly-
ing Red Horse. This brings Mobil-

A grand opening celebi'ation
starting this Friday and continu-

In the first such flight, a Pro-
minister, a Roman Catho-
lic priest, and a Jewish rabbi
have cross . 3c1 the Atlantic by plane
and arrived in London to study
first-hand the religious and social
trends among the people in or-
ganized religious groups in Eng-
land and Ireland.
Scheduled to remain in England
until the end of September, the
three American religious leaders
are: Dr. Everett R. Clinchy,
Presbyterian minister and presi-
dent of the National Conference
of Christians and Jews; Father
Vincent C. Donovan, a Dominican
Order priest and head of the
Catholic Thought Association; and
Rabbi Morris S. Lazaron of Bal-
timore, trustee of the Jewish Joint
Distribution Committee.
The mission is sponsored by the
co-chairmen of the National Con-
ference of Christians and Jews:
Dr. Arthur Holly Compton, of the
University of Chicago; Professor
Carlton J. H. Hayes of Columbia
University; and Roger W. Straus
of New York.

Miss Janet Pollak, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard E,. Pollak
of Edison Ave., became the bride
of Dr. Albert Dunn, at Congrega-
tion Bnai Moshe, Sunday evening,
Sept. 7. Participating in the cere-
mony were four Rabbis, with
Rabbi Jacob J. Nathan officiating
and Cantor Katzman chanting
ceremonial songs. A solo of "Be-
cause" was rendered by Miss
Lillian Isaacs, soprano. Dr. Dunn
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abe
Dunn of W. ,Philadelphia Ave.
Miss Rosetta Rois was maid of
honor.
Mrs. Perrie Pollak, the bride's
sister-in-law was matron of honor.
The bridesmaids were Serena
Feder, Margaret Feder, Edith
Ungar of Cleveland, 0., cousins
of the bride, and Esther Landy.
The bridegroom's brother, Louis
Dunn, was best man. The ushers
were the bride's brothers, Alex-
ander Pollak, Louis Pollak, Har-
old Pollak, a cousin to the bride,
Joseph Brimer and Louis Klein.
Dinner and dancing followed
the ceremony in the congrega-
tion's banquet hall.
Dr. and Mrs. Dunn left for an
eastern wedding trip.
League of Mt. Sinai
Hospital Association
The League of the Mt. Sinai
Hospital Association held a board
meeting on Sept. 10. An interest-
ing program is planned for the
coming season. The newly elected
officers are II enrietta Hassol,
president; Betty Alden, Claire
Waissman, Mildred Raskin, vice
presidents; Louise Levitt, record-
ing secretary; Ruth Korchek, cor-
responding secretary; Pearl Nuss-
baum, treasurer.
