Annual Beth El Sisterhood
Luncheon May 12
The Sisterhood of Temple Beth
El will hold its annual luncheon
meeting on Monday, May 12, at
Franklin Hills Country Club.
There will be a sandwich lunch
at 12 o'clock, followed by the
president's annual report. After
the business meeting there will
be mah jong, bridge and keno
games. Prizes will be given. Mem-
bers may arrange their own
tables for bridge or mah jong.
Tickets for the luncheon will
be on sale at the Temple office
after May 1. They may also be
purchased from any member of
the board of the Sisterhood, or by
telephoning Mrs. Milton Marx,
University 2-1742. The luncheon
is restricted to Sisterhood mem-
bers only. All reservations must
be made by May 10.

Bill Becomes Law

News Service)—A bill designed
to prevent discrimination in em-
ployment in defense industries
on account of race, creed or
color, became law here with the
signature of Gov. Herbert H.
Lehman.
A similar bill was recently in-
troduced in the U.S. House of
Representatives by Congressman
Thomas F. Ford. The bill was
referred to the Committee on
the Judiciary.
