Saturday evening, March 15, at

Franklin read the marriage serv-
ice. Following the ceremony, an
informal dinner was served at
the Belcrest, in the the Wayne
Room. The bridal couple will be

Jewish Campaign. In addition
to its entire membership pledged
to various teams, Home Relief
organized two of its own teams
headed by Mrs. Harry Shulman,

Home Relief is also engaged
in work for Mo'os Chitim. A
generous sum of money was al-
located to this committee by the
organization and a plea for in-
dividual contributions is made at
every meeting.

way commissioner, Kennedy has
laid the groundwork for a new
Federal-aid program of elevated
and depressed express highways
for the metropolitan area and
the main connecting trunklines.

Kennedy's plans for an industrial
crosstown highway.

ISTANBUL. — (WNS)—Jews
of Turkey have contributed
$1,000,000 to patriotic organiza-
tions raising funds for the de-
fense of the country, it was an-
nounced here. The Jewish con-
tribution becomes significant when
it is taken into consideration that
the Jews comprise a very small
part of the population and for
the most part are very poor.

Gamma Kappa Chi Vaca-
tion Frolic on April 10
Final preparations are under
way for the Gamma Kappa Chi
spring vacation frolic which will
be held on Thursday evening,
April 10, at the General Motors
Ballroom. Bob Chester and his
band will provide the music.
The committee in charge of
arrangements includes Albert
Fuerring, Sid Chafetz, Sol Cohen,
Dan Bogarad and Phil Roths-

Gamma Kappa Chi fraternity

A steak roast for the mem-
bers and pledges will be held

are taking charge of the affair.
New pledges for this semester
include Lou Hoffman, Allen Men-
dlovits, Dave Schane, Robert
Bichkoff, Jack Corinblid and Ber-
nard Brodie. The group has been
named after one of its deceased
members, "The Walter Bayer
Class."
On Thursday afternoon, April
3, the fraternity will present a
quiet hour from 3 to 5. The
hour of music is open to the
members and their friends at
the fraternity house at 4744
Third Ave. In charge are Har-
mon Dix and Chuck Kruger, cul-
tural heads.
