spent over $200,000 for educa-
tional, youth, welfare, refugee

The original manuscript of the
famous patriotic hymn, "MY
Country 'Tis of Thee," will high-
light a special exhibit to be held
in connection with the conven-
tion. Owned by Barney Balaban,
president of Paramount Pictures
and a member of Bnai Brith, the
noted manuscript will be the fea-
ture of a display of pictorial,
statistical and other graphic ex-
hibits portraying the work and
services of Bnai Brith and its
branch agencies.

Grover Cleveland Hall Memorial
Fellowship, to be given annually
in recognition of student leader-
ship in the promotion of inter-
faith relationships, has been es-
tablished at the University of
Alabama by the National Hillel
Commission, governing body of
the Bnai Brith Hillel Founda-
tions, in memory of the late
Grover Cleveland Hall, editor of
the Montgomery, Ala., Advertiser,
who earned national acclaim as
a crusader against bigotry when
he was awarded the 1927 Pulitzer
Prize for his editorials against
the Ku Klux Klan and racial
and religious intolerance, it is

Michigan stores.

Bnai Moshe Juniors

The Bnai Moshe Juniors, a
group of boys and girls, ages 7
to 12, recently organized, held
election of officers last Saturday.
Morris Neuvirth was elected
president; Harold Glass, vice-
president; Shirley Berkowitz, sec-
retary, and Ernest Neuvirth,
treasurer. Board members are
Esther Neuvirth, Ben Lasky and
Ralph Simkovitz.
This group takes part in Sab-
bath morning services and holds
cultural and social meetings every
Saturday evening.

Jewish nation. American Jewry,
the only great free Jewish com-
munity in the world, must now,
more than ever, bear the burden
of the major responsibility.
Though we are fully confident
of the ultimate victory of Great
Britain and her allies, supported
by the growing help of your
great democracy, we must real-
ize that the post-war Jewish
problem will not solve itself. In
the future, as in the past, the
fate of our people will lie first
of all in our own hands, and
the trgic necessities of the mo-
ment must not distract our atten-
tion from our ultimate goal,
which is the full liberation of
our people through the establish-
ment of a Jewish National Home
on a sound and enduring bilgz:
