Day program to be conducted at
2 ; 45 P. ni. on Thursday, May 30,
at the Clover Hill Park Ceme-
tery, 11-Mile Road and Wood-
ward.
Rosenwald Post No. 218 of the
American Legion will co-operate
in presenting this program. Ad-
vancement of colors by a guard
from the Rosenwald Post will be
followed by the reading of the
preamble to the constitution of the
American Legion by Albert Cur-
tis, commander of the Rosenwald
Post. Scriptural selections will be

read by Rabbi A, M. Hershman
and Rabbi Morris Adler will give
the prayer. Mr. Curtis will also
give a recitation.
Cantor Jacob H. Sonenklar and
a choir consisting of Max Teitel,
Arthur Schen., Morris Shatzen
and Joseph Cantor will sing ap-
propriate selections, including the
following: "Star Spangled Ban-
ner," "America," "Eposh K-chozir
Yomov," "Shvisi Adonoy" and "El
Molei Rachamim."
Members of Boy Scout Troops
104 and 16.1 will decorate sold-
iers' graves with flags and flow-
ers and will sound Taps.
The public is invited to attend
these services.

Festival on Monday

Mrs. 'Maurice Morse, president
of the Music Study Club of De-
troit, announces the spring fes-
tival, to be given Monday, May
20, at 8:30 p. m., in the Lounge
of the Y. W. C. A., Montcalm
and Witherell. For this closing
event of the club's season, an
elaborate program and supper
has been arranged by the special
program chairman, Mrs. Walter
L. Field, and her committee.
Members of the club and their

Masonic circles in Michigan, is,
as a body, going to Toronto,
Canada, on Tuesday evening,
May 21, where they will be the
guests of Palestine Lodge of
Toronto.
The third degree will be exem-
plified in long form by Perfec-
tion Lodge on Wednesday eve-
ning, May 22, and they will re-
turn to Detroit Thursday morn-
ing.

Detroit Unit or Junior Hadassah

were inaugurated:
President, Rose Poskel; vice-
presidents, Shirley Martin, Jessie
Morrison and Anne Baker; re-
cording secretary, Evelyn Meyers;
corresponding secretary, Annette
Golds; treasurer, Sally Rosen-
sweig; financial secretary, Helen
Shewach.
Miss Ruth Hanels, chairman of
the Youth Aliyah Committee, an-
nounces that she has a supply
of "Passport to Happiness" cer-
tificates which may be purchased
to commemorate appropriate oc-
casions. Certificates sell at $1.50
and Miss Hanels may be reached

tails.
Contributions for Youth Aliyah
were received from Naomi Girls

Detroit Louis :Marshall Lodge
of Bnai Brith will nominate of-
ficers at its next meeting, Tues-
day evening, May 21, at the Jew-
ish Community Center.
On Sunday, the lodge will be
represented by a delegation of
nine members at the assembly
of the Michigan Bnai Brith
Council in Pontiac.
The lodge's annual installation
and dinner-dance will be held in
June, Sol Rosenman, chairman
of the committee on arrange-
