been confined to his bed for only
three days when a foot infection
proved fatal. Born in Austria-
Hungary, he came to this country
in his youth. In business at East
Tawas for 40 years, he moved
to Bay City in 1921, founding a
clothing company.
He is survived by two daugh-
ters, Mrs. M. E. Friedman of
Detroit and Mrs. Samuel Marks
of Munising; a son of Bay City;
two brothers, Israel and Ignatz,
living in Czechoslovakia; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Ethel Teitelman of
Newark, N. Y., and Mrs. Hanna
Grosman, in Czechoslovakia; nine
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
