Jr. Alumni of United He-
brew Schools Participate
in Allied Jewish Cam-

paign

A Monte Carlo night sponsored
by the Junior Alumni of the
United Hebrew Schools of De-
troit took place April 13, at the
Philadelphia-Byron School. The
committee that was instrumental
in making the affair a success
follows: Martin Barahl, Sol
Panush, Shirley Subar. Joseph
Epel, Fred Sorkowitz, Ruben
Isaacs, Isadore Katz, Gertrude
Strauss, Bernard Margolis, Frieda
Smolinsky, Isadore Stein, Kalman
Whitman and Samuel Krohn.
The Junior Alumni formed a
team to work as part of the
Junior Service Group in the Al-
lied Jewish Campaign. Isadore
Katz is captain of the team.
At the next meeting, April 27,
plans for a theater night will be
made. The main feature of the

night will be an operetta. Martin
Barahl will be chairman of the
discussion.

The Junior Alumni will wel-
come into its ranks anyone who
has graduated from the United
Hebrew Schools between the
years 1932-1936. If interested in
