In the sudden and untimely
passing of Aaron Meyer there has
been lost a person of rare mod-
esty and genuine nobility, a close
friend of his declared this week.
Whoever has had the opportunity
of cooling in contact with Mr.
Meyer felt that he was privileged
to be in the presence of a person
possessing sterling qualities. Ile
was the personification of human
kindness.
During the last few yearn of his
life Mr. Meyer identified himself
very definitely with the United
Hebrew Schools, and expressed
his desire to become an active
participant in the work of the
schools.
When his son became Bar Mitz-
vah last November, Mr. Meyer con-
tributed liberally to the scholar-
ship fund of the schools. He was
also affiliated with the Zionist Or-
ganization of Detroit, and took a
great interest in the development
and upbuilding of Palestine.
As a tribute to his memory, his
numerous friends have expressed
the desire to contribute towards
a fund to his name inscribed in
the Golden Book, and also to plant
a grove in Palestine in his mem-
ory.
Those of his friends who wish
to participate in this tribute are
asked to communicate with the
tribute committee, consisting of
