for the degree of Doctor of Public
Health from the University of
Michigan.
Dr. Kliger is well known to the
Jewish Community for his com-
munal and charitable work, especi-
ally his connections with the Jew-
ish Children's Home and Jewish
Home for the Aged. He is on the
board of the Jewish House of
Shelter, Jewish Home for the Aged
and Lionist Organization; is past
commander of Maccabees, member
of Joint Committee of Child Care
and is affiliated with many other
charitable organizations.
Dr. Kliger is married and has
a son, Seymour. He will retain his
private practice.

Rabbi M. Ilalpern, brother-in.
law of Rabbi I. M. Gordon, dean
of the famous Lomza Yeshiva of
Poland, is in Detroit to conduct a
drive in synagogues in behalf of
this school.
Rabbi Halpern was here last year
and was given the wholehearted
co-operation of rabbis and laymen .
During the coming few weeks
he plans to address a number of sy -
nagogues and to ask for Detroit's
liberal gifts to the Lomza Yeshiva.
A number of committees are co-
operating with him in the syna-
gogue drive.

studios of Station WKIIC, Cin-
cinnati, the program will broad-
cast to the world over Colum-
bia's two short wave stations,
W1ZE, New York (15,270 kilo-
cycles and 19.6 meters wave
length), and W3XAU, Philadel-
phia (9,590 kilocycles and 31.2
meters wave length.
