In preparation for activities by Jewish organiza-
tions and fund-raising movements during the corn-
ing year, The Detroit Jewish Chronicle wishes to
announce the following rules which it is compelled
to institute by virtue of the pressure for space and
the unusual amount of organizational activities:
1. We shall be compelled from now on to elimin-
ate from all publicity notices lists of donors to
luncheons or other fund-raising projects. Or-
ganizations desiring to publicize the names of
all such contributors may purchase space at
the usual advertising rates.
2. The charge of $1 will henceforth be made for
each insertion in the Calendar of Events.
The Detroit Jewish Chronicle desires to inform
its readers and contributors in advance of these
rules as well as of the following rules for deadlines,
which will be strictly adhered to:
1. All copy for insertion in The Detroit Jewish
Chronicle must reach the editor not later than
10:30 on Wednesday mornings.
2. Contributions for insertion in the columns of
The Detroit Jewish Chronicle must be type-
written on one side of the paper only and must
be double spaced.
3. Feature articles other than strictly news items
must be submitted to the editor for considera-
tion at least two weeks in advance of possible
publication.
