Annual Meeting of
U. H. S. Auxiliary
Wednesday, May 26

The annual meeting and elec-
tion of officers of the Women's
Auxiliary of the United Hebrew
Schools will be held at the home
of Mrs. Saul Davidson, 2445 W.
Boston Blvd., Wednesday, May 26,
at 2 o'clock.
A program has been arranged
by Mrs. Wolf Kaplan. Mrs. Judy
Roth Jacobs, a newcomer to De-
troit, but well-known in New
York as a soloist on many radio
broadcasts, will be the soloist for
the afternoon and will also be
her own accompanist.
Miss Melba Sklar, teacher of
dramatics, a graduate of Detroit
Conservatory of Music in the dra-
matic division, who has directed
plays and has acted in plays for
the Shaarey Zedek Young Peo-
ple's Society and has also been a
member of a stock company. the
Comedy Theater. will entertain
with a varied selection of read-
ings.
A social hour will follow the
meeting.
The Women's Auxiliary of the
United Hebrew Schools acknowl-

Mrs. M. Kogan of Cambridge

the Home Relief Society on Fri-
day, May 14.
Mrs. Bernard Komer of Lawr-

luncheon on Monday, May 24, at
Hotel Statler, on the medical in-
stitute day, reported that reser-
vations will be taken until Sun-
day, May 23, Attendance at this
luncheon is optional.
Mrs. Charles Cornell, president

Mrs. Robert S. Drews, chairman
of the medical institute day, ex-

at which Dr. Carleton J. Marinus,

CAMP PROMOTION WORK IS STARTED
FOR COUNCIL CAMP'S 1937 SEASON

Mrs. Edward Robbins has been
appointed chairman of the camp
promotion work on behalf of the
Council Camp operated by the De-
troit section, National Council of
Jewish Women.
The Council Camp on Lake Hu•
ron, near Jeddo, Mich., is avail-
able for business and professional
women, students and girls 15 to
17 years of age, as well as to
council members. The camp will be
open from July 5 through Labor
Day.
Assisting Mrs. Robbins in the
field of promotion will be: Mrs.
Milton Marks and Mrs. Harry
Markle, bulletin; Mrs. Dan Krouse
and Mrs. Louis Savage, local con-
tacts; Mrs, Leo Orecklin, posters;
Mrs. Lewis IL Daniels, Mrs, Theo-
dore Kelter, Mrs. Joshua Sarasohn,
