pre-luncheon pep rallies held by
the ladies' Auxiliary of the Jew-
ish National Fund on Tuesday,
Jan. 19, at Hotel Detroiter.
Lavy M. Becker, educational
director of the Jewish Commu-
nity Center, was guest speaker.
Miss Ruth Brotman rendered sev-
eral vocal selections and Mrs.
Max Dushkin presented current
events. Mrs. Joshua Soaks,
luncheon chairman, presided.
Mrs. Louis Miller. chairman of
rummage, announces that she is
booking dates. She can be reach-
ed at Euclid 0516-W.
Mrs. Max Goldberg will deliver
savings , boxes if she is called at
Townsend 5-2879.
Mrs. I. Goodman, chairman of
the souvenir booklet, promises an
unusual one this year. She can

Mrs. R. L Lightstone is work-

and 2 of the League for Labor
Palestine indicated that their
groups would each turn in approx-
imately $300 to the campaign.
Joseph Baran, one of the lead-
en of the Histadruth, who ad-
dressed the mass meeting of Jan.
14, spoke about some of the details
of the work in Palestine.
Further details of the activities
of the Hiatadruth are to be ex-
plained to the radio audience from
Station WJBK, next Wednesday
evening at 8:30, by Morris Leiber-
man, Detroit attorney.
The treasurer announced that
approximately $6,000 of the $15,-
000 local quota has already been
raised.
