Hashomer Hatzair
Concert on Jan. 31
A pageant, entitled "Palestine
Under the Riots," was presented
by several groups of Hashomer
Hatzair youth In various cities,
notably Boston, Cleveland and
Chicago. It met with such acclaim
that the Detroit branch branch of
the organization has decided to
present it at its annual concert to
be held on Jan. 31, at 8:30 p. m.,
at the Central High School audi-
torium. The pageant is educational
as well as entertaining. It is in-
terspersed with scenes from life
in Palestine, and shows how the
friendly relationships b et w een
Arab and Jew were turned into
those of hate and incendiarism on
the part of the Arab while the
Jew still strives for a deeper
amicability between himself and
h I a fellow-citizen. Palestinian
scenes will be presented very real-
istically in miniature form and are
being prepared by the various
handicraft groups of the Branch.
