The community is invited to at-
tend the Lag B'Omer rally to be
staged by Congregation B'nai
Moshe this Sunday, May 10, at
2:30 p. m., in the auditorium on
Dexter Blvd. and Lawrence Ave.
The program will consist of the
following: Speeches by the win-
ners of the elementary declamation
contest, the finals of the high school
oratorical contest, selection by the
B'nai Moshe verse speaking choir.
Elimination preliminaries will also
be held in the following jubilee con-
tests for children, regardless of
their parents' affiliation with the
congregation: Singing, music,
dancing, junior and senior divi-
sions.
All Jewish children of Detroit,
between the ages of 6 and Id, are
invited to attend and enroll in
these contests, the winners of
which will receive valuable prizes
during the finals to be held the
week of June 6 in connection with
the B'nai Moshe silver jubilee fes-
tival. There are no charges what-
ever connected with these entries.

Philomathic Model
Meeting on May 14

"Can war be eliminated by re-
moving its economic causes?" That
is the question which the Philo-
mathic Debating Club will debate
at its 35th annual model meeting
which will be held at Central High
School on May 14, at 8 p. m.
The affirmative team will be
composed of Charles Friedgood, Sol
Schwartz and Nathan Epstein. The
negative team will be composed of
Richard Kramer, Peter Morse and
Philmore Leemon.
Judge Charles J. Dingeman is
donating a silver loving cup to
the winning team. The best speaks

Mizrachi Mothers - Daugh-
ters Affair Saturday

A mothers and daughters cele-
bration under the auspices of the
Ladies Mizrachi will be held on
Saturday, at 8:30 p. m., in the
social hall of the Jewish Commu-
nity Center, Woodward at Hol-
brook. A catered milk dinner will
be served following by an inter-
