Herman Jacobs, executive direc-
tor of the Jewish Community Cen-
ter, spoke to the Young Men's
Jewish Association last Sunday
afternoon on "Youth And its Re-
lationship to the Community." The
talk later turned into a round-
table discussion in which a few
members expressed their opinions.
The new constitution, of which
committee Harold Markowitz is
chairman, was adopted Sunday,
March 22, by a special committee
of nine members. At the same
time, the committee of nine in-
cluded in the constitution a clause
which provides the athletic board
with a yearly stipend to carry on
athletic activities. This will take
the place of Ben Shurgin's "finan-
cial plan" which was presented to
the committee for action.
'Amateur Night' rehearsals have
been continuing regularly, and on
Sunday, April 5, everything will
be in readiness for a gay evening
of entertainment, dancing and re-
freshments. One of the Amateur
Night features will be the drama-
tization of the story "Eyes of
Naggo," written by Gilbert Mark
and presented over radio station
WJR recently. Gilbert Mark is the
chairman for the evening and he
will be assisted by Marvin Raskin
of the entertainment committee
and Ben and Julie Friedman. This
affair will be open only to mem-
bers of the Young Men's Jewish
Association and their friends.
A baseball (soft ball) team
which will be representative of the
Y. M. J. A. will soon start prac-
ticing at Roosevelt field. This is
aside from the Y. M. J. A. League
which will probably consist of four
teams. Any baseball team in the

games please get in touch with Al
