ORIOLE TERRACE
The Oriole Terrace brings an-
other surprise show to Detroit via
the Ernie Young Revue .. , with
Lucille Johnson, who, judging from
her photographs, is a combination
of the charm of Carol Lombard and
the poise of Ann Harding; she is
the prima donna who has gained
such wide acclaim.... Duval and
Tregg, the adagio team, is quite
sensational ... another sister team
that is different is the Rider Girls
and of course Glyde Snyder, the
heavyweight dancing fool, is still
holding down the fort ... Del Del-
bridge and his music continue to
please the terpsichorean enthusi-
asts with his music.

CLUB PLANTATION
The Plantation continues to be
the favorite spot for those who
appreciate the peppy rhythm, the
unleashed emotions portrayed in
the musical and terpsichorean
manipulations of the colored ele-
ment ... their floor presentations
are individual, unique and ex-
tremely entertaining • . . Auzie
Dial continues as the favorite
song-bird and is, of course, feat-
ured in their every production ...
Earl Walton has by far the sweet-
est all sepia band that ever ap-
peared in this town .. . For an
evening that is different, amusing
and one that will call for re-
peated visits, the Plantation • is
quite the spit.

VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM
MEETS HANNAN JAN, 12
The Jewish Community Center
varsity basketball team is sched-
uled to meet the Hannan Y. M. C.
A. in a return encounter Satur-
day evening, Jan, 12, at the Cen-
ter, 8904 Woodward, at 9 p. m.
The Center team is out to
avenge an early season defeat at
the hands of the Hannan Y, the
O
score at that time being 41 to 36.
The Center team has been
strengthened since the last time
the two teams met. They have
since defeated the Highland Park
Y. M. C. A., the Akron Commu-
nity Center and the Allen Park
teams in their last three contests.
A preliminary game will be
played at 8 o'clock between two
