Mrs. Sanders gave a Billet Com-
mittee report and it was announced
that Mrs. J. Heavenrich of Long-
fellow Ave. donated a bust of
Beethoven to the Foundation and
it was accepted by Rabbi Bernard
Heller, director of the Foundation.
The membership of the organiza-
tion is constantly increasing as a
result of the membership drive,
and the organization may be in line
for one of the prizes offered by the
grand lodge. A dinner will be
given later in the year for all mem-
bers who bring in four new paid up
members or earn $12, in some fash-
ion to be given to the organization.
Members are urged to communi-
cate with Mrs. J. Ilarwith in re-
gard to ways to earn the money.

The board of directors of the
Jewish Old Folk's Home Auxiliary
held an enthusiastic meeting on
Wednesday, Jen. 2, in the home of
Mrs. I. E. Goodman.
It was reported that there are
but a few accomodations left for
the pep luncheon to be held on
Wednesday, Feb. 20, at noon. Mem-
bers are advised to phone the
luncheon chairman, Mrs. J. Weis-
man, To. 6-4626, or the president
of the Auxiliary, Mrs. A. M. Fe-
rar, To. 6.7244 for reservations.
This affair, which will take place
in the B'nai Moshe Synagogue, is
open to but 500 members because
of limited capacity and is being
given to honor captains of the
membership drive. During the
luncheon, prizes will be presented
to the captains responsible for the
largest number of new members.
A program and card party will fol-
low the presentation. Thus far,
Mrs. Peg Kanners and Mrs. J.
Kavanau are in the lead with ap-
proximately 350 new members each
to their credit.
It was decided that a$1000 bond
be purchased with, money from the
treasury in addition to the $2,000
bond already bought toward the
building of a new Jewish Old
Folks' Home.
The Auxiliary has recently be-
gun donating $10 per month for
additional canned fruits for the
residents of the Home. The ladies
are also purchasing new folding
chairs. New curtains, spreads and
dishes have already been taken
care of.
All members are urged to be
present Sunday evening, Jan. 13,
in the Jewish Center, Woodward
and Holbrook, at which time a,
playlet will be staged in the form
of a board meeting, to inform the
Jewish Community as to just what
this group is doing for the Old
Folks Home.
