conference for the relief of the
Jews in Poland, called by the Fed-
eration, at Hotel l'ennsylvania,
New York, for 1:30 p. m., Sunday,
Jan. 6.
Mr. Tygel, who has just returned
from an extensive trip to l'oland,
will report in detail on the prevail-
ing conditions which have brought
the Polish Jews to the brink of
economic and national ruin and
which, unless checked at once, will
result in unprecedented disaster to
the three million Jews in Poland.
The conference, consisting of
delegates from the "Landsman-
schaften" affiliated as well as non-
affiliated with the Federation, will
seek to effect relief rut in the or-
dinary sense of the world but by
recommending and carrying into
life a number ofpractical measures
to enable the Jews in Poland to
help themselves on a constructive
basis.
The remaining regional confer-
ences will be held in Chicago,
Philadelphia, Boston, Detroi t,
l'ittsburgh, and other important
Jewish centers during the months
of January and February, 1935.
