BERTHA ROTHSCHILD
Mrs. Bertha Rothschild, the old-
est member of the Temple Beth El
congregation and widow of the
late Sigmund Rothschild, Detroit
tobacconist, died Wednesday at
her home, 4709 Second boulevard.
She was 91 years old. A native
of Bremen, Germany, Mrs. Roth-
schild carte to Detroit when she
was II years old. She married
Mr. Rothschild in April, 1 802. Ile
died in 19117. She was the last
surviving sister of three who mar•
ried three brothers. She is sur-
vived by two sons, Fred of Auburn,
Calif., and Harry S. of New Voris
and Philadelphia.
