Cocoanut Serenaders to Play
at Everglades Club, Hotel
Tuller, New Year's Eve.
"Don't hestitate—do it now" is
the warning of Elias Goldberg,
chairman of the B'nai B'rith enter-
tainment committee, sponsoring the
New Year's Eve party at the Ever-
glades Club in Hotel Tuller.
"It seems," Mr. Goldberg states,
"this year people are planning their
New Year's Eve parties earlier, if
the reservations received to date
are any barometer. We have been
receiving numerous reservations
earlier than in previous years and
I would caution our griends to
make reservations now no that they
won't be disappointed."
The program has been completed.
The popular Cocoanut Serenaders
direct from a three-months engage-
ment at the Cocoanut Grove will
play for dancing. Entertainers,
favors and several surprises are
in store for the New Year revelers.
The entire exclusive Everglades
Night Club in Hotel Tuller has
been reserved exclusively for the
B'nai B'rith. A full course dinner
will be served.
Reservations can be made for in-
dividual tables seating two or more
and if desired and also for private
dining rooms. For reservations
call Elias Goldberg at Townsend
6-1500 or University 2-3618.

JERICHO ENTERTAINS
300 JEWISH CHILDREN
Jericho Lodge No. 490, 1.0.0.F.,
entertained 300 under-privileged
Jewish children Sunday, Dec. 18,
by taking them to the Avalon
Theater and afterwards giving
them a party of hot chocolate and
cake at Jericho Temple, 2705 Joy
Road. Many of the children had
not been to a movie since last
Christmas when they were treated
by one of the Jewish social cen-
ters. In ages they ranged front
five and one-half to 12 years. The
members of the social centers at
31 Melbourne and Byron and
Philadelphia, as well as members
of Jericho Lodge, helped to super-
vise the children.
The theater was generously
donated by Frank Wetsman. Ten
gallons of milk were donated
gratuitously through the kindness
of the United Dairies; Lee & Cady
supplied the cocoa gratuitously,
and Alex Friedman, a baker at
3316 Fenkell, supplied the cake.
