Oh, Children of Israel your glor-

With Moses their leader, to Jor-

But, Children of Israel, we do not
despair,
For we're singing today as we
ne'er sang before,
There's hope In our souls and
there's joy in the air,
As the Children of Israel go
marching once more,
Then on, on, on the Children of
Israel, on as of yore.

BETTER THAN EVER---
A HAPPY PASSOVER, BOYS AND GIRLS:
Although Passover is partly over, the spirit of the festival is still
with us, and I sincerely hope that you are all having a very enjoyable
time observing the customs and ceremonies of the holiday and making
merry.
Have you enjoyed the Sedorim? It IS a beautiful ceremony. And
it makes kings and queens and princes and princesses of all of us.
Did it occur to you that this country is very good to the Jew in that it
permits him to have wine for Passover. Of course, we must be care-
ful not to abuse this privilege. But the thing that we are particularly
interested in is that we should have no, prohibitions on joy. Especi-
ally on Passover, let joy reign in Jewish homes and Jewish hearts. •
Some more Passover stories, poems and other informative ma-
terial, another biographical sketch of another great Jew, and other
items are yours in today's column to be enjoyed during the holiday.
Until next week, good-bye.
YOUR UNCLE JUDAH.

WHY THE THORN-BUSH?
An idol-worshipper once asked
Rabbi Joshua Ben Korcha, "Why
did God speak to Moses out of the
thorn-bush?" •
The rabbi replied, "If He had
spoken out of a carob-tree or syca-
more tree, thou.wquldat have asked
the same question. But it is not
proper to dismiss thee without some
answer. Why then was it a thorn-
bush? To teach thee that there is
no spot in which the presence of
God is not to be found, even though
it be a thorn-bush."
