net Sunday evening at the "Y."
The third annual dance will this
year be held not on Yom Kippur
night but on Sunday evening, Oct.
26, at the Stotler Hotel. Billy
Richadson and his Knights of Syn-
copation will supply the music.
Other entertainers will also be
present. Ticekts will be sold at
the door.
Alpha Beta Gamma Sorority.
With the resumption of activities for the new year by De-
troit Jewish organizations, attention of publicity writers is
again called to the deadline for copy submitted for publication
in The Detroit Jewish Chronicle. All news, club and society
items must reach the editor's desk not later than 4:30 p. m. on
Wednesday preceding the date of publication, except on holi-
day weeks, when the deadline is announced in advance.
On account of Rosh Hashonah, all items for next week's
issue must reach The Chronicle office not later than 3 p. m.
on Monday.
For the issue of Oct. 3, on account of Yom Kippur, which
occurs on Thursday, Oct. 2, all copy must reach us not later
than 3 p. m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
For the issues of Oct. 10 and 17, on account of the Succoth
festivals, all copy should reach us at least a day earlier than
usual.
The attention of publicity writers is also called to federal
postal regulations relative to "Lottery Matter in the Mail,"
which prohibit circulation through the mails of any published
matter containing information regarding rattles, drawings, gift
enterprises, etc. All references in news and club items to
raffles, drawings or other types of lotteries will be omitted from
published reports. Writers of publicity are asked to refrain
from mentioning such matter in their reports.
