EMBARRASSING MOMENTS

The Jewish Center Coeds basket-
ball team finished the season's
games in fourth place in the Class
"C" League of the Recreation De-
partment. The Coeds played 10
scheduled games of the season and
lost one to the Grand Trunk Girls.
They also lost the two final
championship games. This entitled
them to fourth place. Last year,
the Jewish Center Coeds were en-
tered in the Inter-Settlement Girls'
Basketball League and won first
place winning all the games they
played. For this they were award-
ed gold basketballs.
The Jewish Center Coeds is the
only Jewish girls basketball team
in Detroit. In spite of the fact that
the Jewish Center physical educa-
tion facilities are so limited, the
girls worked hard and made an en-

viable record for their team, which
consists of the following: Mildred
Hassel, captain; Anne Solomon,
Gertrude Solomon, Anne Korbv
Dora Wittus, Rose Than, Tilly
Heiman, Sophie Grosoberg, Ida
Kortiy, Saralie Schwartz, Anne
