nounced Thursday that the Eco-
nomical Drug Co. has purchased
five stores of the Sun Drug Co.,
and would proceed immediately to
operate them as units of the Eco-
nomical Drug Chain.
The stores of the Sun Drug Co.
have all been located in the North
IS'aidevard district, located on
Woodward Avenue at the corners
of Palmer, Bethune, Euclid, Clair-
mount and Kenilworth.
Plans for the improvement of
the stores are already under way,
according to Mr. Shapero, who as-
serts that the stores will be ar-
ranged to conform to the other
popular price policy.
The Economical Drug Co., a De-
troit organization, is one of the
