Wee Fashion Ways
For Tiny Tots

Babies hare a genius of bring becoming to any-
thing dainty—just the way violets are becoming
to Spring. Rabies were if for naive trifles
of satin ribbon, for bits of laces, spun of MON-
beano, for flower-soft lengths of fairy fabrics.

OBITUARY

MRS. SARAH KOHN

Mrs. Sarah Kohn, 66 years old,
died at her home, 1039 Vinewood ave-
nue, on Sunday, Jan. 14. Funeral
services were held at the home of the
deceased on Monday, with burial at
Machphelah cemetery. Mrs. Kohn was
during her lifetime, active in charity
and communal work and leaves a
host of friends and admirers. She
was a member of the Hebrew Ladies'
Aid Society, Ladies' Auxiliary of
B'nai Moshe and the Daughter of Je-
rusalem. Surviving her are six chil-
dren: Mrs. E. Mntzel, Mrs. J. Fried-
man of Butler, Pa., Mrs. E. Roth of
Ecorse, Dr. N. E. Kohn, Dr. II. W.
Kohn and Dr. A. M. Kohn, all of this
city.

An audience taxing the capacity
of the chapel of Temple Beth El,
consisting of representative club
women of Detroit and heads of
schools and colleges, greeted Ludwig
I.ewisohn, noted author, dramatic
critic and scholar, upon his appear-
ance before the Jewish Women's
Club on Monday afternoon. The
dominant chord struck in Mr. Le-
wisohn's address, "The Dilemma of
Education," was a treatise upon the
dire needs of fundamentally teaching
the freedom of the minds to be
themselves. Mr. Lewisohn decried
the fact that despite all the fettered
conventionalities the world hasn't be-
come a better one, and that it was
still a mooded question as to the vol-
untary association of free individual
capacity for disassociation. Mrs. W.
R. Alvord, former president of the
State Federation of Clubs and editor
of the Club Woman magazine, the
official organ of the federation, was
a guest at this meeting and spoke
words of greeting to the club. Miss
Anna Solomon, the Jewish Women's
Club representative to the Club Wom-
an, made an ardent plea for the rec-
ognition of this worthy publication.
