Business Men of Detroit !
Did it ever occur to you that Symphonic
Music must have a value for you
you never dreamed of
Perhaps the fact that a thousand people
out of the million in Detroit gave last season,
in addition to what they spent buying tickets
for the concerts of the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, $280,000 to maintain it, will make
you sit up and take notice. People don't give
dollars literally by the hundreds of thousands
unless there is something in it.
What, then, are you missing? For you are
missing a great experience when you do not
go regularly to hear Symphony Music. You
can never know that experience until you
subject yourself to it. You can never know
the vivid, vital reaction, making for increased
mental serenity and higher efficiency in your
daily business life, which follows the exalting
and harmonizing experience of listening every
two weeks or so to an hour and a half of
Symphony Music played by one of the world's
greatest orchestras, led by one of the few
really great conductors. The concerts of the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra, led by Ossip
Gabrilowitsch at Orchestra Hall, offer you •
chance to invest for immediate returns—a re-
newed mental vigor, a carefree joy, a dynamic
serenity—indispensible assets for the success-
ful business man.
Sloney, it is said, talks. Those $280,000
invested in a few hours of music have a great
deal to say to you. Are you listening?
