The committee has been organized for the purpose of promoting in the United States a national recognition for the six hundredth anniversary of the death of the great Italian poet. The honorary chairmen of the committee are the American Am- bassador to Italy and the Royal Ital- ian Ambassador to the United States. The active chairman is Dr. John H.
