Various committees of the Jewish
Woman's Club are busily engaged in
the preparation of interesting pro-
gi anis which are to be put into oper-
ation with the resumption of work
following the summer's respite.
It is the aim of the committees at
work to plan programs of unusual
merit both for the afternoon and eve-
ning meetings and a number of lead-
ers o' modern thought in the fields of
music, art, literature, civics and eco-
nomics have been engaged to deliver
addresses during the ensuing year.
SIrs. Isaac Goldberg, chairman of
the activities committee, has arranged
classes in millinery, home economics,
dramatic art and esthetic dancing for
boil] adults and children. There will
also be classes in social service, dress-
ma3;11g. home nursing and first aid,
parliamentary law, advanced and be-
ginners' French, civics and communal
affairs, Those desiring to enroll in
any c/ the classes are asked to notify
Mrs. Goldberg, 45 Rowena avenue,
where the classes will be held.
The "Penny Lunch" work, in which
tit Jewish Woman's Club was a pio-
neer, will be continued at the Bishop
and Bishop Annex schools, Mrs. D.
W. Davis acting as chairman. Vol-
unteers are needed in the work.
Members of the club have been
mod to avail themselves of the many
opportunities afforded by the number
and variety of the classes planned for
the coming season.
