C. C. CAR MARKET

RIDDEN IN FRANKLINS
IN NATIONAL CONTEST

650 WOODWARD AVENUE
Glendale 4896

So far 300 folks have ridden in a
Franklin car with our salesmen in
the national "Slow-the-car" contest.
The contest started on June 7, so
that an average of 50 persons has
been taken out for a ride on each of
the first six days. The contest is to

run two weeks, closing on June 19.
a
"We've told everybody that during
this contest we're not trying to sell
the Franklin car or anything else."
says W. J. Doughty, local Franklin
distributer. 'We're bent on doing
one thing and one thing only—get
just as many folks as possible out
for a ride in a Franklin with one of
the members of our sales organiza-
tion, so that one or more of our
"boys" can annex some of the big
prize money the Franklin company
is offering in this contest.
Twenty prizes, ranging from $50
to $500, are going to be distributed,
and we're trying pretty hard to bring
some of that money to Detroit. But
until this contest started, we never
knew how many friends We had.
Everyone scents willing to co-operate
and enter into the spirit of the
thing.
Everyone, too, seems to be es-
pecially interested in seeing with
their own eyes just how far a Frank-
lin will go on a gallon of gasoline.
This is easy to visualize, because
the car is rigged up with a special

glass container mounted on the side
of the car in plain view, and which
holds exactly a pint of gasoline.
During the time that the car is run-
ning on this gas, the regular sup-
ply from the gasoline tank is dis-
