York or Chicago. Practically all of , the passenger cars to be shown, all
have internal combustion motors a,
means of supplying power with th,
exception of three makes of electric,
and one make which is propelled by
;steam. This is the first show held in
Detroit in several years in which a
.Teani car will be displayed, the last
; one to be shown lucre being the
Doble, which attracted much atten-
tion in 1917.
It is probable that several lire•V
creations in the passenger car line
which were not ready for the national
shows will snake their debut at the
Detroit exhibition for the much great-
er exhibition space otTered here will
!give the latecomers an opportunity to
!display their wares. It is estimated
that the total value of the Ilintor car,
I o n the floors of the Ford Building
!will exceed $2,000,000, with individual
!pr . ces ranging from as low as $6110
to about S11,000.

automotive products. The enormous

Where is Your 1915 Car Now
weeks go by
with no mention in
the "Used Car"
the
classified columns of 1915
models—and few of 1916.
Why? Worn out already
or perhaps out of style?
Possibly you can answer
for two or three or more of
various makes.
We can answer for
Packard by pointing to
Packards of 1915-1909—even
earlier—still in active use by
the original owners.
You see these long•lived
Packards on our streets
every day—probably with-
out realizing it—for they

their performance is still
right.
HE Packard Company
T has
proved time and
again that building a car
which will look good out-
wardly after six years or
more is futile unless the
mechanical parts will last as
long as the body.
To the man who is buying
a new and so-called "high
grade" car season after
season—Nye say—you can
certainly have better motcr-
ing and probably lower
costs by owning a Packard
