The Old Folks Home Nall has al-
ways been successful, it has been gen-
erously supported each year not only
by the Jews of the city of Detroit
but also by the Jews in the state at
large. This institution has been de-
servedly popular with the public. It
has done splendid •ofk in the years
of its existence and has consistently
lived up to its promises.
•lw ()Id Folks Home has far out-
grown its quarters, and with the pres-
ent guests at the Home greatly
crowded and inconvenienced, and a
long waiting list patiently pleading
for admission, it is necessary for the
institution to build at Once.
\S'ith the proceeds of this, their
ninth annual ball to be held at the
Arcadia, Tuesday, February 24th, the
Old Folks Home Society plans to dig
ground at once, and in spite of the
bight cost of labor and materials, to
build a substantial addition to its
present site on the corner of Edmund
and Brush.
And so the Old Folks Home So-
ciety appeals to the public to gener-
ously support this ball. NVe may
hesitate to build ourselves new homes
at such a time, but in spite of un-
favorable Conditions we must build
for those whose last few years are
ours to make comfortable and happy.
