Smoker a 4 Success.

ties in the North Woodward district,
both for the members of the Congre-
gation who reside in that vicinity and
for the Jews in that district who are
'not affiliated with any congregation.

section heartily endorsed his plan.
Mr. Srere emphasized the necessity
of taking advantage of the gymnasium
facilities. Ile was appointed chair-
man of a committee to organize
athletic classes and to proceed with
the further equipment and operation
of the gymnasium.

Tuesday Sewing:
The special attention of the mem-
bers of the Auxiliary is directed to the
charity sewing held at the temple
every Tuesday from 9:30 to 5 o'clock.
The call for materials is most urgent
at the present time, and it is hoped
that all who can do SO Will attend the
sessions on Tuesday.
A call has come from the Red
Cross headquarters to all members
of the Auxiliary and the Temple, to
supply automobiles and chauffeurs for
the use of nurses during the present
epidemic. All who can possibly spare
their ears will please send them to
Red Cross headquarters, Lafayeete
and Wayne streets, between the hours
of nine and four, everyday during the
week or a part of the day. Good use
will be made of the cars and they w ill
render ill V a luabl c service.
Boys' Choir:
Under the direction of NIr. Herman
Hoexter, a boys' choir has been form-
ed at the temple, and it is hoped that
the parents will co-operate with the
school in seeing that their boys attend
the rehearsals promptly and regular-
ly. \I r. Hoexter is a most capable
