States overseas. Mr. Stein was for-
mery a commission merchant at the
Broadway Market. Ile has made at-
tempts at enlisting in the army and
navy, but was rejected. As a final
resort he applied for service in the
Jewish Welfare Board and has served
about a half year at Camp Gordon.

Camp Gordon he was presented with
a gold•mounted fountain pen by the
Jewish soldiers as a token of their
esteem for his work. Mr. Stein will
leave for overseas within ten days.
