Mrs. "Maurice \Vold, who has
been the guest of her sister; Mrs.
E. M. Rothman, has returned to
her home in Cleveland.
Miss Stella Heineman of Mil-
waukee arrived in the city on Tues-
day to be the guest of Miss Sadie
ffirschman.
Mrs. Louis Goldsmith and Mrs.
N. Selik were hostesses at a mis-
cellaneous shower given in honor
of Miss Tillie Kaletsky e whose
marriage to Mr. Samuel B. Harris
occurs on Sunday, June 17.
The Hadassah society will give a
dance at the Shaarey Zedek Syna-
gogue auditorium on Sunday
evening, June 17, the proceeds of
which will go to the Provisional
Fund for relief in Palestine.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kositchek
of Alpena, Mich., announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Beth
Levin, to Mr. Julius Siegel of New
York city. Miss Kositchek was
formerly a member of the faculty
of the Ganapol School of Musical
Art of this city, but has been study-
ing in New York for the past year.

Mr. Max Kalish, the well-known
sculptor of Cleveland, spent a few
clays in Detroit during the week.
Mr. Walter Oberfelder of Chi-
cago was the guest last Sunday of
his sisters, Airs. Leo M. Franklin
and Mrs. M. S. Welt.
On June 19 Rabbi Franklin will
officiate at the marriage in Kala-
mazoo of Mr. Harry Folz and Miss
Ruth Desenberg.
Air. and Mrs. Bernard E. Ans-
pach, whose marriage recently took
place at Mt. Clemens, have taken
an apartment at 7 Illinois street,
Detroit.
Detroit friends of Miss Rebecca
Greenberg, vice president of the
Jewish Student Congregation of the
University of Michigan, will be
pleased to know that she was the
winner of the Rosenwald Menorah
prize for the best essay on a Jew-
ish subject. The title of her essay
was "How to Preserve Jewish Na-
tionality in America."
Mc. and Mrs. Harry Grant are
occupying their new home at 204
Chicago boulevard.
The marriage of Miss Mignon
Bing and Mr. Fred A. Ginsburg
will take place on Wednesday, June
27, Rabbi Franklin will officiate.
Mrs. George A. Bloom, who re-
cently underwent a serious opera-
tion, is convalescent.
Mr. I. Scheinman has left for
French Lick Springs for a brief
visit.
