The summer outing season will

Detroit Company No. 55, Uniform
Rank. The steamer Tashmoo has
been chartered for the occasion. The
main festivities will take place (lur-
ing the day at Tashmoo Park.
The committee has arranged a di-
versified program in which men,
women and children will be able to
participate. Over 100 prizes will 1
distributed to the winners of the vari-
ous games, including baseball, races,
etc. As a special attractioq a Ford
touring car will be raffled off, and the
winner will have the pleasure of rid-
ing- around the grounds in his cr.
The committee in charge urg,s an
early purchase of tickets as a record
crowd is expected to attend. Tick-
ets may be procured from the mem-
bers of the lodge and uniform rank.
The boat will leave from the foot of
Griswold street on Sunday morning,
June 17.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S HOSPITAL
AUXILIARY TO GIVE
EXCURSION.
The first excursion of the season,
being the Third Annual Excursion of
the Young People's Auxiliary of the
Hebrew Hospital Association, will be
held on Sunday, June 3rd, at Tashinoo
Park. Mr. Harry Satovsky, chairman
of the committee, with the assistance of
the Entertainment Committee consisting
of the following members: Messrs.
Morton Edelstein, Sigfricd Radlauer,
Louis Klein, Joseph Rohrlich and the
Misses Rose Stepsay, Sophia Ackerman,
Clara Weisman and Edith Fierstein,
have arranged for races and field sports
for yoting and old.
Tickets may be secured from the com-
mittee members of the society and tick-
ets will also be sold at the boat on the
morning of the excursion.

man is an authority upon the science of
library work and has won wide dis-
tinction as a librarian. She has the dis-
tinction of being the first Jewess to oc-
cupy the position of superintendent it
