Dead."
Sabbath services at Temple Beth
El will continue uninterruptedly
throughout the summer.
On Sunday afternoon of this
week, May 28th, the Twenty-eighth
"Ouiet Hour of Music" will be held
m the Temple, on which occasion
Nit. Abram Ray Tyler, organist of
the Temple, will be assisted by the
celebrated harpist, Andrew R. Da-
vis. The program begins promptly
at four o'clock and lasts exactly one
hour.
The annual meeting of the Young
People's Society will take place on
Sunday even i ng, m ay 28t h . It will
be followed 1,v a most elaborate en-
tertainMent, of which announce-
ment is made elsewhere in this
issue.
Members of the Congregation are
once more urgently requested to
notify the Secretary promptly of
any change in address.
Elect Adolph Lewisohn an Hon-
orary Member of Zeta Beta
Tau Fraternity.
Adloph Lewisohn was elected an
honorary member• of the Alpha
Chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau Fra-
ternity of the College of the City of
New York, Saturday evening. His
initiation took place at a banquet
held that evening at the Hotel Mar-
Rabbi A. M. Hershman will hold
the usual Sabbath services at the
synagogue on Saturday morning.
They will commence promptly at ')
o'clock.
A large audience greeted Mr.
Charles C. Simons at last Sunday
morning's meeting of the Men's
Club of Shaarey Zedek, and left
after having listened to one of the
most forceful addresses delivered
(luring the entire season. Mr: Si-
mons spoke on the "American Jew-
ish Crisis." IIe pointed out that
the recent increase of violent crimes
among Jews, the looseness of busi-
ness morals among them, and a lack
of patriotism, are conditions worthy
of serious consideration and which
should be remedied. The address
was followed by general discussion
on the part of the members.
The Young People's Auxiliary of
Shaarey Zedek will hold the final
meeting of the season on Tuesday
evening, May 30th. The Entertain-
ment Committee has planned a spe-
cial program for the occasion. Re-
freshments will be served and (lan-
cing will follow. •
