The Temple has recently ac-
quired a new and very beautiful
section in Woodmere, to be known
as Section B. E. The plat of the
section is completed and the mem-
bers of the congregation wishing to
select lots may do so by applying
to the warden, Mr. E. Wodic, 219
Brainard Street. There will be a
formal dedication of the new sec-
tion, the (late to be announced here-
after.
The congregation has rec lved a
very handsome gift from Ir. and
:Qrs. Adolph Marx, in memory of
their son-in-law, David Lewis. It
is in the form of a beautifully hand-
illuminated motto and has been
hung in the lobby of the Temple.
On June 7 Rabbi Franklin will
confirm• a class of 26 pupils, 10
girls and 16 boys. By special re-
quest of the members of this class
and of their parents, the announce-
ment is made that it is the wish of
this class that friends shall refrain
from sending them gifts on the oc-
casion of their confirmation. It iS
the desire of the class and of the
rabbi to emphasize the religious
character of the ceremony, and it is
felt that the occasion is not one on
which gifts should he exchanged.
Or. Noah E. ‘Aronstam spoke to
the members of the Young People's

tion of the subject, and was heart-
ily enjoyed by all present. Besides
Aronstam's address, which was
the feature of the meeting, there
were several musical numbers de-
lightfully rendered by Messrs.
kapelson and Klein of the Pont-
chartrain Hotel Orchestra.
